Welcome Innovators!
This is the website for Learning Target 2: I can paraphrase information and stories I have read.
For this Learning Target, you will choose a constellation from Ptolemy's list of 48 identified constellations and research the "story behind the stars." This means that you will find a myth that relates to your constellation and paraphrase the story you find.
For some constellations, you may need to look up a myth that is mostly related to another constellation in order to tell the story. For example, Andromeda and Cassiopeia are characters within the myth of Perseus, so in order to paraphrase an entire myth, you may need to look to the Perseus story.
For ancient constellations, the mythology may have changed over time from Babylonian to Greek. This is useful background information and should be included.
Have fun!!!
